XID mining rewards vs balance: blocks and maturity

Understand XID explorer balance, chain-attributed blocks and pool shares without treating balance as lifetime income.

Plain text version

Identify the field first

The XID address card shows source-reported explorer balance and attributed blocks, not a complete income ledger. Receipts, outgoing transfers, immature rewards and source coverage affect interpretation. A balance change is not automatically today’s mining income.

Use confirmations rather than a fixed waiting time

Maturity is counted in block confirmations, not a website countdown. Changes in block timing affect the elapsed wait. Check the current rule in the xCoin mainnet information, the reward’s block and current height; do not assume a guaranteed payout time.

Separate shares from confirmed rewards

Accepted shares establish pool work, not that the address found a chain block. Pool statistics, block attribution and wallet amounts are separate records. The monitor does not multiply shares by a fixed token amount or invent an XID dollar valuation.

The listed official pool is solo

The xCoin whitepaper describes the listed official pool as solo and coinbase-only: a found block assigns its reward directly, rather than distributing continuing income by accepted shares. Working hashrate and growing shares can therefore coexist with no rewards yet. Check separate terms if you use another pool.

Use the XID monitor alongside the official explorer; see workers and shares for hashrate checks.

Common questions

Is balance the same as lifetime rewards?

No. Current balance and historical income are different measures.

Does maturity always take 3.5 days?

No. The condition is confirmations; elapsed time depends on actual block production.
