Vast.ai Machine ID changes and host income history
Host accounts, nicknames and Machine IDs describe different scopes. After hardware replacement or registration, compare IDs before attributing income. A reused name does not establish continuity of a machine’s revenue record.
What to check
Save the old Machine ID, retirement time and income report, then query the new ID over the relevant interval. Account balances can include several machines and cannot fill an absent machine report. Linking records locally does not transfer official contracts or revenue.

Example: gpu-host changes from machine A to B. Preserve reports before and after replacement. If their intervals overlap, verify whether they represent separate hardware before deduplicating or summing them by nickname.
