Nosana Host address vs wallet: which one to paste

Paste the node public address: the Solana public key of the Host on the grid. Do not paste a private key, seed phrase, or job address, and do not assume one wallet is one host.

The monitor wants the node public key

What you paste in the Nosana monitor is the Nosana node’s public Solana address. It is a Base58 string that decodes to a 32-byte public key, and the text on the page is 32 to 44 characters. The official docs separate Host GPUs (joining the grid) from Solana Wallet (wallet setup), so the wallet flow and the node address are not the same field.

Copy the node address from the official node page or the dashboard. Do not include spaces. If the text has spaces, the length is wrong, or it does not decode to a 32-byte public key, the lookup is not sent.

The wallet signs; it does not fill this row

  • The website uses $NOS for the network token and links to staking. NOS or SOL held in a wallet and the job list of one Host are different records.
  • One wallet can be related to more than one host. The monitor does not derive a node list from a wallet. Paste each host’s own node public address.
  • Never paste a private key or seed phrase. The public address is enough to read the public job index.

A job address opens a different record

A job address identifies one workload. The homepage describes GPU work as on-demand compute jobs, and the docs have a separate job-definition topic. Pasting a job address into the node box does not return the running and completed cells.

A schematic case

Schematic, not a real address: the node address is “NodeKey…32-byte public key”. Wallet sign-in uses a different key pair. The job page shows “Job…”. Only the first string opens this Host in the monitor. If you pasted a wallet public key and the official node page shows a different string, use the node page.

What to do next

  • Confirm on the official node page that this public key is the machine you want, then paste it.
  • If the two cells do not match what you expected, follow the check order instead of swapping wallets.
  • If you save a separate device record for each host, each one uses a slot in the five saved devices per project on Free, or 50 on Pro. Seeing several workers under one wallet does not by itself use those slots.

Limits

The monitor does not read NOS or SOL balances and does not show a staking position. A balance in the official wallet is one wallet-level figure. It is not copied into income for each worker.

Common questions

The wallet public key looks similar. Can it replace the node address?

Not automatically. Both can be Solana public keys. Whether they are the same key is settled by the node address on the official node page.

Which of SOL and NOS is the host reward?

The docs say you earn $NOS by joining the grid and hosting GPUs. SOL is an asset of the chain this Solana address lives on, not the job count on this page. The monitor shows neither amount.

Why does nothing get looked up after I paste an address?

The string must be Base58 with no leading or trailing spaces, and it must decode to exactly 32 bytes. A job id, a copy that includes spaces, or text that is too short or too long stops before the lookup.
