The Akash monitor does not show an AKT or USDC balance
IOTA Watch labels Akash’s project token as AKT. That is a name, not a balance. The directory card has neither an AKT amount nor a USDC amount. Check holdings in a wallet and lease income in settlement records.
| What you want | On the Akash monitor | Where to go instead |
|---|---|---|
| Whether that provider is online in the directory, and how much GPU it advertises | Yes: name, online flag, check time, advertised capacity, and models | Match the original row in the provider directory |
| How much AKT the account holds now | That column is absent | The wallet or explorer where you hold AKT |
| How much USDC the account holds now | That column is absent | The wallet that holds the USDC; do not ask the directory card for this number |
| How much a lease has already paid | Absent | Official settlement records; a balance change by itself is not a settlement |
This provider card has no AKT amount and no USDC amount. IOTA Watch’s project data names Akash’s token AKT so the project can be recognized. That name is not a balance. What you can see on the Akash monitor is still the directory row: name, online flag, check time, GPU capacity, and models. The official site says providers earn from deployments and tenants open a lease for a workload, but the directory card does not record those payments as AKT or USDC figures.
What balance and income each mean
A wallet balance is the tokens the account holds now. It can change because of transfers in or out, and it can be unrelated to any provider. Lease income is an amount paid that a settlement record states for one workload. The allocated GPU count is neither. The directory card does not record a payment as AKT or as USDC. The name AKT only identifies the project. USDC in a wallet is another holding, not a capacity unit on the directory. When you need to check either token, you check it on the wallet side.
What to inspect
- Confirm you opened a provider address, not a wallet. If both start with akash1, still separate them using address versus wallet.
- Read AKT and USDC separately in the wallet that holds them. When the monitor has no such columns, write “unknown here,” not zero.
- If the same wallet is bound to several saved devices, count that balance once. Do not copy it into worker income once per device.
- To answer “how much did this provider earn,” go back to official lease and settlement records. The steps are in capacity is not income.
What to do next
- The wallet has a balance and the directory card has no token column: both are right. They were never the same table. Report holdings from the wallet and the provider’s advertised GPU capacity from the directory.
- The wallet balance changed and you cannot find a matching settlement: do not book the difference as rent. Read the wallet history first and see whether it was a transfer in, a transfer out, or another transaction.
- Saving the provider as a device uses saved-device quota on the account: five records per project on Free, 50 on Pro. That is not a physical host count. Looking at a wallet, or at provider records listed under it, does not by itself take another slot.
Illustrative case (not a real balance)
The directory row North shed shows 8 GPUs advertised and 2 allocated, with no token column. The wallet separately holds some AKT and some USDC. Record it this way: provider-advertised GPU capacity on the directory, both holdings in the wallet, and do not fill one column from another. Those 8 GPUs are not 8 physical hosts. Attach the same wallet to a second saved record and the AKT and USDC remain that one holding. They do not become two incomes.
Limits
This page cannot sign, cannot transfer, and cannot turn an hourly example on the marketing site into an increase your wallet should show. The official earnings calculator is not a balance either. A missing number stays unknown.
Common questions
The project is labeled AKT. Does that mean a balance is already there?
No. AKT is the token name used for the project. The directory card has no AKT amount column. Whether any coins are held is a wallet question.
Why is the USDC balance unknown instead of zero?
Because this card does not read USDC at all. “Not loaded” and “balance is zero” are different. Zero is valid only when the wallet itself shows zero.
If the same wallet is bound to two devices, do I add the balance twice?
Do not add it. It is one holding, shared and deduplicated. It is also not lease income for each of the two provider records.
