Paste the Gonka Host address, not the inference URL or the hex
Paste the bech32 Host account address whose prefix is gonka. It is the same value as index. inference_url is the service endpoint. The uppercase hex in addresses is a different list. An ML node name is not this Host’s identifier.
| Official field | What it is | Can the monitor look you up with it |
|---|---|---|
| index | The Host’s gonka account address | Yes, the whole value must match |
| inference_url | The inference service endpoint on that record | No |
| validator_key | A Base64 public key | No |
| Uppercase hex in addresses | Another listing of participant addresses | Not a substitute for index |
The monitor wants the Host account address, not the inference service URL. On the current list, index on each record is that address. The whole value has to match before the status reads In this epoch.
What each field is
- index: the account address with the gonka prefix. The sample in the Network Node API is this kind of address. The monitor looks you up with it.
- inference_url: the inference service endpoint on that record. It says where the service is attached. It is not the device identifier to save.
- validator_key: a Base64 public key. It is not the account address.
- addresses in the response: a separate list of participant addresses in uppercase hex. The docs list it apart from index. Pasting the hex into the monitor does not match index.
What to copy from your setup
- Open the Host’s chain account configuration and copy the full gonka address. Keep it lowercase. Do not copy only the last characters.
- If you only have an inference port or a model name, go back to the quickstart, separate the network node from the ML node, and find the Host account address.
- An address this site accepts still needs a successful read of the current list before you know it is in the epoch. A valid form and “listed” are different. See how to check this epoch.
What to do next
- After index matches, open the Gonka monitor for weight and models.
- If the status is not listed, confirm you did not paste hex or a URL before you change identifiers. See Host not found.
- To see whether the inference endpoint or PoC-related fields appear on the page, read PoC and inference status.
- Free is five saved devices per project. Pro is 50. Binding the same Gonka address again on the same device does not add a slot.
A side-by-side sketch
Illustration, not a live machine: the document sample’s index starts with gonka1. The same sample’s inference_url is an http service address. addresses holds uppercase hex. Only the first can match a Host in the monitor. Do not use the sample address as your Host.
Limits
- This page does not invent address forms that are absent from the official docs, and it does not rewrite another project’s wallet into a gonka address.
- It does not derive an account address from an inference URL. If index is missing, the lookup stays unknown or not listed. It does not fill in an empty address.
- This site cannot log in to your node or create a Host account for you.
Common questions
What does the Host address look like?
It is a lowercase bech32 account address. The human-readable prefix is gonka, and the account data is 20 bytes. The official sample and this site both use that full address. Do not shorten it, change the case, or swap in another chain’s prefix.
Can I paste the inference service address from the quickstart?
No. The inference URL is the service endpoint. The list identifies the Host by index. Pasting a URL, a port, or a model name will not show In this epoch.
Does the ML node name on the same machine count as another device?
Lookup uses the Host address only. The quickstart describes a network node and at least one ML node, including the case of one machine. An ML node name cannot replace the Host address. A project device slot is used only when you save a separate device record.
