How do I troubleshoot a CKPool address with no record?

See whether the monitor accepted the address, then whether user stats exist yet. The operator attributes missing stats to difficulty 10000.

Separate an address the monitor rejects from stats the pool does not have yet

Paste only the mainnet address on Bitcoin monitoring. The miner username may include a Worker. The monitor input may not.

On this page

"No record" is not a balance figure. The Bitcoin monitor looks up only a mainnet address it accepts. Until the address is accepted, the page has not looked at user stats at all. After that, "not found" means there are no user stats to show. Do not collapse these paths into "the account holds 0 BTC." An empty amount only means the source did not publish one.

The monitor never looks it up

A testnet address, a dotted Worker suffix, and a URL never become a user lookup. The diagram address.rack-a is not a real address and is not pasteable. The dot is not part of the payout address. The miner username may be the address, a dot, and a Worker name. The monitor input must be the mainnet address without a dot. When this step fails, change the input. Do not wait for stats to appear.

The address is valid and the stats are still empty

After the address is accepted, the page is not-found only when the user stats still have no hashrate and Workers to show. The amounts did not become 0. The FAQ says stats stay missing when hashrate is too low for a minimum difficulty of 10000, and the service accepts shares later. A miner can be connected to stratum.ckpool.org port 3333 while the page still has no user stats. Then check whether the miner is still waiting for a first share.

Which side to change next

  • The input contains a dot, is a URL, or is a testnet address: on the miner, leave the Worker name in the username and paste only the mainnet address on Bitcoin monitoring.
  • The address is valid and the page still says there is no record: follow the FAQ and wait for a first share above difficulty 10000. Do not write that as 0 BTC.
  • Removing a saved line on Bitcoin monitoring only stops watching. It does not stop the miner.

Retry the bare address on the Bitcoin monitor. A lagging window is in hashrate window. Where to put the name is in address and Worker names.

Common questions

Is not-found equal to 0 BTC?

No. Not-found means there are no user stats to show yet. The amounts did not become 0.

Why does a Worker suffix in the monitor fail?

A dotted suffix is not a Bitcoin address. Put the Worker name in the miner username. The monitor accepts the address only. A dotted diagram name is not pasteable.

The miner says connected, but the page does not. What next?

Check that the username is a mainnet address, not testnet. If hashrate is low, the FAQ says to wait for a first share above difficulty 10000. Do not rewrite that as 0 BTC.
