# ZEC pool payouts before moving funds to a shielded address

A pool payment to a transparent address and a later wallet transfer into shielded funds are separate activities. This transparent-address monitor does not track shielded balances. An unavailable shielded balance does not cancel the original payout record.

## At a glance

A pool payment to a transparent address and a later wallet transfer into shielded funds are separate activities. This transparent-address monitor does not track shielded balances. An unavailable shielded balance does not cancel the original payout record.

## What to check

Preserve the pool’s t address, payment transaction and native amount. Verify that initial receipt, then use the official wallet for subsequent transfers. A lookup restricted to transparent addresses should not be given unsupported shielded or Unified identifiers. Extending a public monitor is not a reason to upload wallet secrets.

## Example

Example: a t address receives ZEC and later sends it away. Its transparent balance can be zero while lifetime pool payments remain positive. Do not overwrite payout history with the current balance.
