# Privacy when sharing an XMR pool monitoring link

Monero’s on-chain privacy does not make a pool statistics link information-free. A public lookup can expose worker labels, hashrate and payment statistics. A device nickname may also reveal a location or employer.

## At a glance

Monero’s on-chain privacy does not make a pool statistics link information-free. A public lookup can expose worker labels, hashrate and payment statistics. A device nickname may also reveal a location or employer.

## What to check

Inspect the link as a signed-out viewer before sharing it. Redact unnecessary full addresses, company names and worker labels in screenshots, and avoid links containing login tokens. Use the source’s public fields. A promise of complete monitoring is not a reason to upload wallet files or private keys.

## Example

Example: a worker named company-floor3 reveals context without revealing a chain transaction. Use a neutral label where appropriate. Renaming future activity does not guarantee removal of historical pool records.
