# Where are accepted XMR shares when a Worker says offline?

Offline is the status word Kryptex gives that Worker, and the last share is a time. This site does not show an accepted-share count, so a missing count is not zero shares. Offline does not stop the miner.

## At a glance

Read whether status is online, offline, or unknown, then read the last-share time. When there is no accepted-share count, check the share record on Kryptex. Do not treat the blank as 0.

## When it says offline, check recent shares on Kryptex

Open [Monero monitoring](https://iotahome.site/en/projects/xmr) for status and last-share time, then check the share record on the pool.

## Four cells to read when it looks offline

| Cell on the monitor | What it can show |
| --- | --- |
| Online | The pool marked that Worker online. |
| Offline | The pool marked that Worker offline. This site did not stop the program. |
| Status unknown | The pool did not say online or offline. Do not guess. |
| No accepted-share count | This page does not provide that count. Blank is not zero shares. |

## Offline is a status word, not a share count

When a Worker says offline, do not read “accepted shares” as a number that was reset to zero. Open [Monero monitoring](https://iotahome.site/en/projects/xmr). Each Worker has a status from the pool: online, offline, or unknown when the pool said neither. A time of the last share can sit beside it. This page does not show a count of accepted shares, and it does not split rejected and stale shares into a window table. A missing count means the count is not on this page. It does not mean zero shares.

## Read status, time, and hashrate apart

Offline does not mean this site stopped the miner. The monitor cannot start or stop an XMR miner, and removing a saved address does not stop the process at Kryptex. If RandomX is still running locally while the pool marks the Worker offline, check that the host is a Kryptex XMR endpoint and that the user field is the same public address. When a rate is missing, the address rate is unknown. Do not use offline to fill 0 H/s. Kryptex says the pool uses variable difficulty and sets it automatically, and that a custom difficulty does not change earnings. That sentence is about how often shares are submitted. It is not a share count after the Worker goes offline.

## Example: offline, a time, and no count

The case below is an illustration. Worker desk is offline, a last-share time is present, and the rate cell has no number. Do not write accepted shares as 0, and do not write the hashrate as 0. Open the same address on Kryptex and see whether desk’s recent share is still in their record. If the miner host has been pointed at another pool, this offline state describes only the Kryptex ledger. It does not prove the other pool stopped. Do not add the other ledger back in. Address shape is in [which address to enter](https://iotahome.site/en/learn/xmr-mining-monitor-guide).

## Next step and limits

Next, read status and last-share time on the monitor, then check that Worker’s share record on Kryptex. If the comparison you need is the rate rather than the status, see [RandomX hashrate](https://iotahome.site/en/learn/xmr-randomx-cpu-hashrate). Limits: some pool pages list accepted, rejected, and stale shares inside a time window. The XMR monitor does not provide that split, so a blank is not “zero accepted in the window.”

## Common questions

### Does offline mean accepted shares became 0?

No. Offline is the pool’s status word. This page has no accepted-share count, and a blank is not zero shares. Check that Worker’s share record on Kryptex.

### Will the monitor start the offline miner again?

No. The monitor only reads the public-address record on Kryptex. It cannot start or stop the miner, and removing the address does not stop the process.

### Why is hashrate blank when a last-share time exists?

The time only means the pool supplied a moment. Rates are added only when every Worker has a number. A missing number is unknown, not 0. The comparison is in the RandomX hashrate article.
