# TensorCash N/s versus PoI/s: compare the source units

Miners and pools can expose different throughput units. N/s and PoI/s are not interchangeable merely because both are rates per second. Conversion requires an explicit source definition and the conditions under which it applies.

## At a glance

Miners and pools can expose different throughput units. N/s and PoI/s are not interchangeable merely because both are rates per second. Conversion requires an explicit source definition and the conditions under which it applies.

## What to check

Record miner version, pool, unit, averaging window and observation time. Compare trends within matching source definitions. Across sources, keep original units in separate rows. Chain proof or payout statistics are not live worker speed and do not establish a physical GPU count. A different chart magnitude alone is not evidence of lost work.

## Example

Example: a local miner reports N/s while a site reports PoI/s. Read both definitions instead of multiplying by an arbitrary constant to align the curves. Separate labeled readings are more useful than a falsely precise total.
