# Why MDS locked, unlocked, and paid do not match

Unpaid on MDS monitoring is unlocked plus locked. Cumulative paid is a separate transfer total. The last 24 hours are a block allocation for a window of exactly one day. Accepted shares are not a payout.

## At a glance

Three lines answer three questions. If the window is not exactly 24 hours, the 24-hour line stays unknown and is not written as 0. This page does not explain why part of the balance is locked, and it does not promise an unlock time.

## Three lines, three questions

| Line | Question | Not |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Unpaid · including locked | How many base MDS are unlocked plus locked now | Paid, or the last 24 hours |
| Cumulative paid | How much the pool has already transferred | The on-chain wallet balance |
| Last 24 hours | Block allocation for a window of exactly 24 hours | Payouts in that window, or a count of accepted shares |

Unpaid, paid, and the last 24 hours are three different figures on [MDS monitoring](https://iotahome.site/en/projects/mds). The unpaid line adds unlocked and locked and is labeled “Unpaid · including locked”. Paid is the cumulative amount the pool has already transferred. The last 24 hours are a block allocation, and the line appears only when the window is exactly 24 hours. Accepted shares on the miner screen are none of these three.

## What each line answers

Unlocked is the part of the account marked available. Locked is the part listed separately on the same account. This page adds them because neither has been counted in cumulative paid. The official pool guide says the pool takes a percentage from blocks its miners find and pays an MSS many times. It does not define why LuckyPool splits a balance into locked and unlocked. This page does not explain the lock, does not promise an unlock time, and does not state a minimum payout.

## When the 24-hour line appears

The last-24-hour figure comes from the block allocation on the account. It has a number only when the end minus the start is exactly 24 hours. A wrong window or a missing field stays unknown. It is not written as 0, and unpaid is not copied into the gap. It is not a count of transfers during those 24 hours.

## Keep shares and the wallet apart

The official miner status sample includes `142 acc / 0 rej` and `Expecting: 1 block per 4096 shares`. That is the miner’s own share count and expectation. It is not MDS that LuckyPool has paid. Accepting 142 shares does not become 142 MDS on this page. A balance in a wallet or a block explorer is another ledger. This page does not read it.

## A ledger marked as an illustration

The figures below are an illustration. Unlocked 1,024 and locked 1,048,576 show unpaid 1,049,600 MDS. Paid 2,048 stays on its own line. The page does not print its own total of unpaid plus paid. If the 24-hour allocation is 512, that line shows 512 MDS. Adding 512 on top of unpaid and paid counts that window again when it already sits in one of those lines. If the window is not exactly 24 hours, that line is unknown even while unpaid remains 1,049,600. If the miner shows 142 accepted shares, 142 enters no amount line.

## Next

Denomination is in [nonces/s and mMDS](https://iotahome.site/en/learn/mds-nonces-hashrate-units). One worker going offline does not set these three lines to 0. See [shares and workers](https://iotahome.site/en/learn/mds-worker-share-troubleshooting).

## Common questions

### Is unpaid money I can already send?

Do not read it that way. The line is unlocked plus locked, and the label says locked is included. This page does not explain why the locked part cannot be sent, and it does not promise an unlock time. Paid is the cumulative amount the pool has transferred, and it is still not the on-chain wallet balance.

### If the last 24 hours show 0, did I earn nothing today?

The page does not write a gap as 0. When the window is not exactly 24 hours, or the allocation is missing, the line is unknown. Unknown is not a statement that today’s income is zero.

### Does a higher accepted-share count mean paid is larger?

This page does not make that conversion. The accepted count on the miner screen is a share count. Paid is the pool’s cumulative transfers. “One block expected per 4096 shares” is an expectation on the miner screen, not a promise of payment.
