# How to find your IOTA Train at Home Miner ID

Copy the public Miner ID from the Miner screen in the official IOTA Train at Home app. Use the SS58 hotkey, never a private key.

## At a glance

Open Miner in the official Train at Home app, copy the complete public Miner ID and paste it into IOTA Watch. The payout coldkey is a different identifier.

## Choose the right identifier

| Identifier | Purpose | Where to use it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Miner ID / hotkey | A miner’s public address | Use in IOTA Watch |
| coldkey | Public payout address | Configure in the official app’s Connect control |
| Private key / seed | Wallet secret | Not a lookup identifier |

The Miner ID used by IOTA Watch is the public SS58 hotkey shown in the official Train at Home app. It is not a private key, seed phrase, coldkey, or a row number on this website.

## Copy it from the app

- Install Train at Home from [iota.macrocosmos.ai](https://iota.macrocosmos.ai/) if you have not already

- Launch the app and wait until it shows Connected

- Open **Miner** in the top left

- Copy the complete Miner ID

The official guide is here: [TAH user guide](https://docs.macrocosmos.ai/product-and-services/tah/tah-user-guide).

## Add it to IOTA Watch

- Open the [dashboard](https://iotahome.site/en/app)

- Paste the full ID and give the device a name

- Repeat for each machine

Without signing in, the list stays in this browser (up to 3 devices per project on Free). [Sign in with Google](https://iotahome.site/en/learn/google-account-device-list) to bind up to 3 devices per project on Free, or 100 per project on Pro and open the same list elsewhere. A JSON backup can still be exported.

> An incomplete ID will not match. If a device is “not found”, confirm that the full public address was copied.

After it is saved, see [device statuses](https://iotahome.site/en/learn/device-status) and [how rewards are counted](https://iotahome.site/en/learn/how-rewards-work).

## Common questions

### Can one payout address look up every machine?

This tool looks up individual miners by Miner ID. A shared coldkey can receive their rewards but does not replace each miner’s ID.

### What if the copied ID is still not found?

Check the full ID and the official app’s connection. Missing from the current list does not mean the device never existed or earned zero. Follow the device-not-found guide.
