# Why ETHW unpaid, 24-hour reward, and paid do not match

Unpaid, lifetime paid, and the 24-hour reward are three amounts. Unpaid, the rolling 24 hours, and paid are already shown as ETHW and mean different things. Missing paid stays unknown.

## At a glance

Do not treat the 24-hour reward as unpaid, and do not write a missing paid figure as zero. Dollar wording about payout fees on the help page is the pool's own statement. This article does not turn it into your arrival time.

## Read the three amounts separately and leave a missing one unknown

On the [EthereumPoW monitor](https://iotahome.site/en/projects/ethw), compare unpaid, paid, and the last 24 hours. A dash means the pool did not supply that figure. Do not change it to zero or forecast the next payout from it.

## Three amounts

| Name on screen | How to read it |
| --- | --- |
| Unpaid | Unpaid already shown as ETHW, still on the pool account |
| Lifetime paid | Shown only when the pool supplies it. Otherwise unknown, not zero |
| Last 24 hours | Reward in a rolling window. Not unpaid, and not one calendar day |

Unpaid, the 24-hour reward, and lifetime paid do not match because they answer three questions. Unpaid is the ETHW still on this address at the pool. The 24-hour figure is the reward recorded in a rolling window. Lifetime paid is the total the pool has already sent, when the pool supplies that total. The three are not forced to be equal, and the monitor does not copy one over another.

Unpaid, the rolling 24 hours, and paid are already shown as ETHW. Unpaid is what remains on the pool account. The rolling 24 hours is the reward in that recent window. It is not unpaid and not a calendar day. Paid stays unknown when the pool does not supply it. Each pool’s current payout policy is on that pool’s page. This site queries and does not withdraw, and it does not multiply a fee into unpaid and call the result income.

## What to inspect

Read all three cells together instead of the largest number alone. When paid is a dash, treat it as missing, then check the pool's own payment history. Do not read the dash as a failed payout or as zero already paid. The 24-hour reward can be larger than unpaid, because an amount already sent does not stay in unpaid. When paid is a dash, check the pool’s own payment history. Do not read the dash as zero already paid.

## What to do next

To see what has not been sent, read unpaid. To see the recent reward, read the last 24 hours and remember it is not a calendar day. To see the total already sent, use that cell only when it has a number. If it has no number, leave it unknown. Do not split the three amounts by rig hashrate, and do not multiply the homepage fee into unpaid and call the result income you will receive.

## An illustrative case

Labelled illustration: unpaid 0.03 ETHW, rolling 24 hours 1.25 ETHW, paid unknown. 0.03 is not 1.25, and it is not current income.

## Limits

The monitor cannot start a payout, tell you when the next one arrives, or turn the help page's dollar wording into your on-chain fee. Daily earnings from a calculator such as Minerstat are not quoted here. See [which address to enter](https://iotahome.site/en/learn/ethw-mining-monitor-guide) for the address shape, and [rigs and shares](https://iotahome.site/en/learn/ethw-workers-hashrate-shares) before splitting an amount by machine. Open the [EthereumPoW monitor](https://iotahome.site/en/projects/ethw) and read unpaid, rolling 24 hours, and paid separately.

## Common questions

### Why are unpaid and the last 24 hours different?

They are two amounts already shown as ETHW, with different meanings. The last 24 hours is not a second copy of unpaid, and it is not split by rig.

### Does a dash for paid mean a payout threshold was missed?

A dash only means the pool did not supply lifetime paid. Whether a payout threshold is met is on the pool’s current page. The monitor does not compare a threshold and does not decide whether funds arrived.

### Can I multiply a pool fee into unpaid and call it income?

No. The pool’s current payout policy is on the pool’s page. The monitor does not multiply a fee into unpaid and does not promise the next payout.
