# ETC payment thresholds, payout cycles and receipt checks

Reaching a displayed amount does not establish that an on-chain payout was sent. Check whether it is payable balance, the pool’s current conditions, its payment cycle and whether a transaction actually exists.

## At a glance

Reaching a displayed amount does not establish that an on-chain payout was sent. Check whether it is payable balance, the pool’s current conditions, its payment cycle and whether a transaction actually exists.

## What to check

Match the ETC pool and 0x address, then read that pool’s current payout rules and distinguish immature from payable funds. If the payout list supplies a transaction, inspect the destination and confirmations on ETC. Identical address formatting on Ethereum or ETHW does not prove receipt on the correct network.

## Example

Example: total balance exceeds a threshold while most of it is still immature. Inspect the payable portion first. A total alone cannot establish overdue payment or support an exact promised arrival time.
