# ERG P2PK address changes and historical pool payments

One wallet application can manage several addresses while the pool still accounts by the submitted payout address. A new P2PK address does not automatically inherit the old address’s workers, unpaid balance or lifetime payouts.

## At a glance

One wallet application can manage several addresses while the pool still accounts by the submitted payout address. A new P2PK address does not automatically inherit the old address’s workers, unpaid balance or lifetime payouts.

## What to check

Keep the old address, pool and change time. Validate the new mainnet P2PK address against supported lookup rules rather than substituting a P2S script address. Inspect new shares and old payments separately, then verify receipts on Ergo. A shared wallet-app name is not an accounting key for merging history.

## Example

Example: unpaid ERG remains on the old address while new Autolykos shares reach the replacement. Preserve both until reconciled. A zero on the new record does not mean all earlier rewards disappeared.
