# Where to look when an ERG worker is offline or no shares show up

This page shows whether the worker is online, its hashrate, and when it was last seen. Share charts from 5 minutes to 6 hours stay on the pool account page. Share difficulty does not change rewards, as the help page states.

## At a glance

If the worker name is missing or marked offline, match RIG_ID, Autolykos, and the pool host, then read the short share window on the pool account page. A difficulty tier does not fill in missing ERG. Use the [ERG monitor](https://iotahome.site/en/projects/erg) for the current row.

## Offline, missing name, no short window

| What you see | What this page can say | Do next |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Worker marked offline, last seen is old | The pool marked that worker offline | See if the miner is still submitting to that host |
| Account opens, worker name is absent | The public account has no such RIG_ID | Check the name after the dot, or another host / SOLO |
| Worker online, you want 5-minute shares | No 5-minute, 30-minute, or 6-hour chart here | Open the pool account page for that window |
| Raising share difficulty to recover ERG | The help page says difficulty does not change rewards | Difficulty changes submit size, it does not create ERG |

A worker row on the monitor has four facts: the name, the hashrate, whether the pool marks it online, and when it was last seen. It does not draw a share chart. The 2Miners API index lists account shares and per-worker hashrate for 5 minutes, 30 minutes, and 6 hours as separate calls. Those windows live on the pool’s own account page, not on this row.

## What online, hashrate, and last seen each say

Online or offline is the pool’s current mark for that worker. Hashrate is the number it reported for that RIG_ID, not the ERG that rig is owed. Last seen comes from the pool’s latest record. When that time is absent it stays unknown. Do not rewrite it as “never mined.” The address balance is still one figure. An offline worker does not zero it.

## Branch on what you see

- The name is present, the status is offline, and last seen is earlier. Check that the miner process is still running, that the host matches the kind of address in the help page quick start (the example is erg.2miners.com port 8888, SSL 18888), and that the algorithm is Autolykos. Regional hosts follow your config file.

- The payout address opens and your name is not in the list. An empty RIG_ID, a name longer than 32 characters, or a symbol other than hyphen and underscore will not match the rig-1 in your notes. The miner may also point at another server. The API index lists ERG SOLO separately. This page does not merge SOLO.

- The worker is online and has a hashrate, and you still want proof that shares are accepted. Read the accepted count in the miner log and the short window on the pool account page. This page cannot fill in that chart.

- Rewards did not move, so you want a higher share difficulty. The help page says share difficulty does not change miner rewards, and it reserves the higher tier for a very large GPU count or NiceHash. Changing difficulty does not turn an unknown balance into ERG.

## An illustrative diagnosis, not an incident report

Sketch: rig-1 is marked offline, last seen stopped yesterday, and hashrate is empty. By the pool’s mark, that name has not continued since yesterday. It is not a settlement that income is 0. If the same address still shows 1.2 ERG unpaid, that 1.2 still belongs to the address. It is not erased because rig-1 is offline, and it is not given to another rig that stays online.

Viewing workers does not use a device slot. If you save each worker as its own device, Free’s five saved devices per project and Pro’s 50 count those records. Open the [ERG monitor](https://iotahome.site/en/projects/erg). How to read the hashrate column is in [Autolykos worker hashrate](https://iotahome.site/en/learn/erg-autolykos-worker-hashrate). An address that will not open is in [which address to paste](https://iotahome.site/en/learn/erg-mining-monitor-guide).

## Common questions

### Does offline mean the balance became 0?

No. Offline means the pool marked that worker offline. Unpaid balance still belongs to the payout address. A missing figure stays unknown and is not written as 0 because the worker is offline.

### Will a higher share difficulty increase ERG?

Not according to the help page. Share difficulty does not change miner rewards. It changes how large each submit is. Rewards still sit on the address as balance, paid, and the rolling 24-hour reward.

### Where do I read the short share window?

On the pool account page. This page does not provide the 5-minute, 30-minute, or 6-hour chart. The current worker row is on the [ERG monitor](https://iotahome.site/en/projects/erg). What hashrate means is in [Autolykos worker hashrate](https://iotahome.site/en/learn/erg-autolykos-worker-hashrate).
