# When a CSD address or Worker is missing, which kind of empty is it?

A full-page miss means the pool has no shares or payments for that address yet. A missing Worker, or 0 H/s, can still leave the address ledger open. Do not treat all three as one restart.

## At a glance

See whether the address ledger is still there. If it is, check the name, last seen, and shares. If it is not, recheck the addr20 and whether any work has reached G-pools.

## Three kinds of missing

| What you see | Address ledger | Next step |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Whole page: address not found | No shares, no payments, no rig record | Recheck the addr20 and that work was submitted to G-pools |
| Address open, one name missing | Unpaid and lifetime paid still belong to that wallet | Check the --worker spelling; a legacy miner may show as default |
| Address open, rate is 0 H/s | Ledger still open | Read rejected shares and last seen; do not reinstall on a short zero |
| Rate is blank | Ledger may still be open | Blank means the current rate is unknown; do not write 0 |

Split “not found” before you change anything. Either the whole page has no such address, or the address is open and only a Worker name is absent. A full-page miss means this public pool account has no rig list, no accepted shares, and no payments. A missing name means that label is not on the current list. Unpaid and lifetime paid still belong to the original addr20.

A reading of 0 H/s is not a missing address. The mining notes describe “online but 0 H/s” when the backend does not match or there is no work. On HiveOS they tell NVIDIA to use --backend cuda, AMD opencl, and CPU cpu. That is the miner process, not a deletion of the address from the pool.

## When the whole page misses

- Compare --address in the miner. After dropping 0x you need 40 hexadecimal characters. See [where to copy the addr20](https://iotahome.site/en/learn/csd-gpools-address-setup).

- Confirm the miner is on G-pools. The notes name pool.yamaduo.no as the endpoint compiled into the program. This monitor reads the public account on csd.yamaduo.no. If those pages disagree about one address, trust the page that shows your payment history.

- Other chains in the G-pools family do not share this CSD ledger. A node address from the project site is not a pool account.

- Right after you change the address, and before any share is accepted, the pool can have no account yet. Let the miner run until a share is accepted, then refresh.

- Do not paste a private key or csd-wallet.txt as another way to search.

## When the address is open

- Read the spelling on the pool’s rig list. Allowed characters are letters, digits, underscore, and hyphen. On Linux, if you omit --worker, the notes fall back to CSD_WORKER, WORKER_NAME, or the hostname.

- The notes say a legacy miner with no name shows as default. Searching for rig1 then looks like “that rig does not exist.”

- If last seen is older than about 15 minutes, this page stops marking that Worker active. The name can remain, only inactive. That is different from a full-page miss.

- At 0 H/s, see whether accepted and rejected shares are still changing. Do not reinstall the machine or rotate the wallet for a short zero.

- A blank current rate means this hour’s rate is unknown for now. Keep the amounts on the ledger. Do not rewrite the blank as 0.

## Illustrative cases (not a recorded outage)

Address A does not open at all: the miner string does not match the printed wallet, or no work has reached G-pools yet. Address B opens, unpaid is still 0.02 CSD, and the list shows only default, not the rig-a you remember: the name never reached the pool, and the coins are still on B. Address C opens with a 1-hour rate of 0 H/s while rejected shares climb: fix the backend or the reject reason before you create a new addr20.

Free is five saved devices per project; Pro is 50. Saving the same address again because a Worker was missing does not create a second balance. With or without 0x it stays one saved device. Saving every Worker as its own device does use a slot each.

Next: open [CSD monitoring](https://iotahome.site/en/projects/csd) with the checked addr20. Once the ledger opens, read H/s in [hashrate units](https://iotahome.site/en/learn/csd-worker-throughput-units).

## Common questions

### If the address is missing, should I make a new wallet?

Not yet. The usual causes are a mistyped addr20 or no share accepted by G-pools. A new wallet does not move coins off the old address, and it uses another saved device.

### The list shows only default. Where is my rig name?

The pool notes say a legacy miner that sent no Worker name appears as default. Check --worker or CSD_WORKER. The coins stay on the original addr20.

### Is 0 H/s the same as a blank rate?

No. 0 H/s is a zero rate reported by the pool. A blank means this hour’s rate is unknown for now. In both cases the amounts on the address can still be there.
