# CSD chain balances do not establish a pool account

A chain balance shows asset holdings, not that a particular pool received shares for that address. Ordinary transfers, payments from another pool and current mining activity can coexist without creating an account on the selected source.

## At a glance

A chain balance shows asset holdings, not that a particular pool received shares for that address. Ordinary transfers, payments from another pool and current mining activity can coexist without creating an account on the selected source.

## What to check

Match the wallet’s addr20 with the active miner, excluding URL parameters and worker suffixes that are not part of the address. Match the configured pool to the selected source and inspect accepted shares. A valid address with no pool record should remain not found, not become an invented reward or a zero chain balance.

## Example

Example: an address received CSD by transfer but never submitted to G-pools. A positive wallet balance and no pool worker can both be correct.
