# Acurast free, frozen and total balance accounting

Frozen amounts describe restrictions on balances rather than a new asset outside the total. Wallet holdings also differ from manager paid rewards. Adding total, free and frozen figures indiscriminately double-counts funds.

## At a glance

Frozen amounts describe restrictions on balances rather than a new asset outside the total. Wallet holdings also differ from manager paid rewards. Adding total, free and frozen figures indiscriminately double-counts funds.

## What to check

Compare the same chain address at the same finalized snapshot. In this monitor, total uses free plus reserved; frozen is shown as a restriction and is not added again. Daily rewards come from paid-reward changes across Hong Kong midnight, not simply from subtracting wallet totals. Transfers and restrictions can change those totals independently.

## Example

Example: free 10, reserved 2 and frozen 3 produce a total of 12 here, not 15. Actual transferability still depends on wallet and chain restrictions; total holdings are not a withdrawal quote.
